Video tape to digital file or DVD
Transfer your recorded video to a digital file (MP4 format - for
use on computers, tablets, phones and other video-enabled devices), from VHS, Compact VHS (VHS-C),
8mm tape (Video8, Hi8, Digital8), miniDV (DVC) and other formats.

Long- and Short-Duration Tapes
Tapes containing more than two hours of recorded video will be transfered at a cost of $10
per additional hour (or portion thereof) to a corresponding number of additional digital file(s). Tapes which
have a duration of one hour or less can be consolidated with other tapes to save you money. Provide me tapes
marked with a numbered chronology, and your video will be transferred and recorded in that order.
DISCLAIMER: by law, I can not transfer video from commercially-produced tapes, such
as theatrical movies.

Digital Camera Cards to MP-4 or DVD
Transfer your recorded video from digital cameras or smart phones
(memory cards of all formats, including SD, microSD, MMC, CompactFlash, Memory Stick, Memory
Stick Pro, etc.) to a single MP-4 file or DVD for home viewing.
Cost of transfer is $29.95 per 2-hour video, which includes up to ten (10) separate digital files
encoded. After the first ten files, a charge of 79¢ per additional file will be added. (You
can save money by eliminating small and/or extraneous files from your order.)
Your MP-4 file(s) will delivered on a data DVD, which is included in the transfer price, or on a
USB thumb drive for an additional $9.95.
For a disk playable on your home DVD system, please add $6.95
Movie Film Transfer

I use my own equipment, and personally oversee each film transfer.
Your precious memories are never sent out, by mail or other means, and never leave my possession.
8mm Home Movies to digital file or DVD
Digitize 8mm, and Super8 on reels to common video formats,
playable on your video-enabled device (smart phone, tablet, computer, etc.) or on home DVD players.
Each frame of your film will be scanned individually, so that the video will have no flicker, and
yield exemplary results. It's a time-consuming process, but well worth the effort.
Rates:
MP-4: 12.5¢ per foot of film ($0.125/ft)
DVD: 14.5¢ per foot of film ($0.145/ft), or
both DVD and MP-4 for 17¢ per foot.
Add $12.95 for media creation of each digital file/DVD up to 2 hours.
Discount pricing available for orders of 10,000 feet or more.
A 2-hour digital file or DVD will hold about 1,500 to 1,800 feet of 8mm film transfer.
If possible, number your film reels so that they can be recorded in order on your final
DVD. If it's not possible to number your reels, the video will be transfered to your DVD in
any order.
If you request, I can provide you with individual DVDs or MP-4 files for $3.95 per
reel (no matter the size or length of film on the reel) so that you can arrange the video yourself,
for playback in order.
DVD Copies: $4.95 at time of transfer, $12.95 afterwards.
Please allow 4-8 weeks for delivery of your final order.
Safe-keeping Service
Your transferred video will be kept on file so that, in the case of loss or damage to your disk,
a copy can be made at any time without the need for the costly digitization again.
Your irreplaceable home movies will be preserved on virtually loss-less DVD digital video format
for you to enjoy for many years to come.
